This seminar will consider the legal implications with the use of technology in schools including, use of social networking sites by staff, student records issues with photographs and video recordings, the PRESS acceptable use policy and alternatives, bargaining issues associated with technology, student discipline including cyber bullying, sexting and search of electronic devices, bring your own device policies, and use of electronic devices by board members and administrators in compliance with Open Meeting Act and Freedom of Information Act requirements.
