MakerSpace/Club Projects for Your Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

With the recent rise of the Maker revolution, it can be overwhelming to try and sift through the commercial and free offerings available. In this session, we will present several open source projects which have nominal costs to engage students in a variety of different project activities. Several of these projects have curriculum and standards mapping done already, and provide additional opportunities for collaboration and outreach beyond your local district. Featured are the “Plastic Ants” robots that allow a deeper understanding of robotics, math, and programming which provides an opportunity for formal or informal robot war competition in your district as well as others in the state. Come join us and learn about projects that are collaborative with other teachers/districts and are just plain fun for both teachers and students.
